Step 1: Learn more about The Good Shepherd Preschool

We hope our website has served as a good introduction into who we are, but there’s more for you see and consider.

• We encourage you to attend an open house or schedule a visit at our preschool. Once there, you’ll have an opportunity to tour our facilities and meet with a staff member to discuss your initial questions.

Step 2: Complete Enrollment Application

Our enrollment application is comprehensive; please complete all forms included as part of your child’s application. Most delays in processing come from incomplete applications.

Click HERE to access the enrollment application. The application can be printed and returned through regular mail to The Good Shepherd Preschool, 1503 Kind St., Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Alternatively, the electronic form fields can be completed on your computer; save your completed application as a new file and then email to us at preschool@highwayag.org.

For advanced enrollment of the 2023-2024 school year a tuition deposit of $250 and a registration fee of $80 are due with the application. 

The Good Shepherd Preschool accepts applications throughout the year, however those desiring to start school at the beginning of an academic year, should submit applications no later than August 1.

Step 3: Application Review

We will review your enrollment application and evaluate potential openings. Based on this preliminary evaluation, we will reach out with the next steps. If your child has an IEP or other special testing results, please provide them with the application.  This will allow us to determine if our school is the best fit for your child.

Step 4: Enrollment

Once we determine if we can provide your family services, we will enroll your child via Brightwheel and provide additional information concerning school policies, school supplies and the upcoming school year.

You will also be asked to provide the following documentation prior to the first day of school:

• Virginia Department of Health School Health Entrance Form MCH-213F
• Immunization Records
• BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Step 5: Attend Orientation

All parents are required to attend our Orientation Day held each August before the first day of class. Those parents who enroll their children after the school year is already underway will need to schedule an orientation meeting with the preschool administrative staff.

The Good Shepherd Preschool will admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. GSP will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other school-administered programs.
