The mission of Highway Christian Academy & The Good Shepherd Preschool is to support families by providing a distinctly Christian education that equips students to strive for academic excellence, acknowledge and embrace Biblical truths, follow Christ, model Christ-like character in all areas of their lives, and develop a Christian worldview for the glory of God.

To build a Christ centered school that emphasizes strong academics, strong Christian character, strong faith in Christ, all which are emphasized in our service to God.  We seek to foster a nurturing, mutually supportive school community of students who pursue learning and Christian character enthusiastically, parents who wholeheartedly support the school’s mission, and caring, qualified Christian faculty and staff who are committed to teaching Godly principles and investing in the lives of students.

Highway Christian Academy & The Good Shepherd Preschool intends to integrate these truths as an educational ministry of Highway Assembly of God. They are derived from the Statement of Fundamental Truths of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. – 2 Timothy 3:16, John 17:17

We believe there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. – Deuteronomy 6:14, Matthew 28:19

We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit to transform our lives, that we are justified by the shed blood of Christ, and that we are saved by God’s grace. – Titus 3:5-7

We believe in the resurrection of the saved. – John 5:28-29

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. – 1 Corinthians 12:13

We believe that we must be people who demonstrate God’s love and compassion for all the world. – Galatians 2:10

Our Statement of Faith is not exhaustive of all of our beliefs. The Bible, as the inspired and infallible Word of God, speaks with absolute authority regarding the proper conduct of mankind and is the unchanging foundation for all belief and behavior.
